All you need for this game is a squirt bottle. That's easy enough, and some water in the squirt bottle.
To Play: Have everyone in your family sit in a circle on the floor. One person should start out in the middle of the circle holding the squirt bottle. The person in the middle comes up with a category (such as colors, Disney movies, ice cream flavors, types of breakfast cereals, restaurants, etc...), and then thinks of an item within that category. Without telling anyone else what they've chosen, they need to go around the circle while each person takes a turn guessing what that item is.
So... if the category is colors, each person would say a different color. Trying not to say the color the person in the middle has secretly picked. However, each person needs to pay special attention to what everyone else says because if the same item is guessed twice, the person who repeats is sprayed with the squirt bottle.
When someone does guess the item in the category, they are sprayed with the squirt bottle (in the face is always fun), and they become the next person in the middle.
FYI: Make sure you keep this game moving quickly. If someone is stalling to think of what to say (taking more than 2-3 seconds), they get squirted.
This game is great for all ages. Kids love this game (an excuse to squirt people, of course they love this game), and we use it in our house to work on colors, numbers between 1-20, characters in the Book of Mormon, and on Thursdays we play using our sons vocabulary words to get him ready for his weekly tests. Watch out for squirt happy family members (hummm, like my husband, who loves this game because he loves to squirt people, especially me, for random reasons).
HOW MANY DIFFERENT BREAKFAST CEREALS CAN YOU NAME?
